Technology Beyond the Numbers
Explore the architecture behind our plans, the technical differences of our VDS infrastructure and why it is the right choice for your project.
Why Should You Rent a VDS for Your Projects?
A VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) is the ideal solution for projects that have outgrown shared hosting but do not want the cost of renting a physical server. In a standard VDS rental, the server's resources (RAM, CPU, disk) are reserved for you not by software but by hardware (with KVM technology).
When you buy a VDS, no other customer on the server can use the processor power or RAM allocated to you. The resources are held for you even when the server is idle. This way, neighbors receiving heavy traffic never affect you.
For e-commerce sites and high-traffic news sites in particular, a VDS is not a preference but a technical necessity. In addition, thanks to the Dedicated IP address assigned exclusively to you, other people's spam activity cannot damage your email reputation.
-
100% Isolated HardwareResource consumption by neighboring sites never slows you down.
-
Full Control (Root Access)Install the control panel of your choice (cPanel, Plesk, CyberPanel) on your server.
VPS or VDS? Which One Fits You?
Although they are often confused in the industry, there is an architectural difference between a VDS and a VPS. A VPS (Virtual Private Server) distributes resources on a pooled basis. If other users on the server come under load, your processor power may drop (CPU steal).
When you buy a VDS from NetVay, we give you a share directly from the processor, not from a pool. In projects with heavy database queries or on game servers, a VDS delivers stable performance.
If your project is static HTML, a VPS is enough; but if you run a business where credit card transactions pass through or speed affects revenue, you should rent a VDS without gambling.
-
No CPU StealThe clock speed (Hz) allocated to you on a VDS is fixed.
-
NVMe Disk PerformanceDisk I/O is not shared, so speed never drops.
What Can You Do with NetVay VDS Servers?
NetVay's enterprise VDS infrastructure is designed to work like a micro data center. Because architectures such as Docker or Kubernetes require kernel-level access, you cannot use hosting for them; you must buy a VDS.
Ping is also vital in gaming. Our Türkiye-based VDS rental options offer the lowest latency for domestic players. For gaming and rendering projects that need heavy single-core power, you can also consider our Ryzen VDS plans. To increase resource guarantees in enterprise projects, we also offer Premium VDS, DarkBot VDS for DarkOrbit bots, and Amazon VDS with clean IPs for those managing Amazon Seller accounts.

What Are NVMe SSD and RAID 50 Good For?
If you wonder where the bottleneck in a server is, the answer is most likely the disk. While the processor waits, the disk works; if the disk is slow, it does not matter how many cores you have. This is exactly why we use NVMe SSD in all of our plans.
Unlike a classic SATA SSD, NVMe sends data directly over the PCI Express bus. There is no SATA controller in between, so data does not pass through a bottleneck on its way to the processor. In practice, this means database queries and page loads become noticeably faster. Whether you run WordPress, an e-commerce panel or a game server, you will see the difference on day one.
A fast disk alone is not enough; it must also be safe. That is why we chose RAID 50. RAID 50 is a hybrid structure that both splits data into chunks written in parallel and protects it with parity data. In plain terms: when a disk fails, your server does not stop, your data is not lost, and most of the time you will not even notice.
Still, let's be clear: RAID is not a backup method. It protects against hardware failure; it does not bring back a file you deleted by accident. They are two different jobs. That is why we include weekly automatic image backups in our VDS rental plans.
-
Direct Access via PCIeThe SATA controller bottleneck disappears.
-
Resilient to Disk FailureThanks to RAID 50, the system never stops and no data is lost.
Build Your Own Server or Rent a VDS?
Buying a server and putting it in the corner of the office looks cheap at first glance. You pay for the hardware once, and everything after seems free. The hidden side of the math is this: uninterrupted power, a generator, air conditioning, a static IP, the upload speed of an office line, and a person to replace the disk that fails at three in the morning.
When you buy a VDS, all of this comes already installed and running. Your server sits in a Tier III certified data center in Istanbul, inside redundant power and climate control. When the power goes out, the generator kicks in and you never notice.
The second issue is growth. When the server in the office is not enough, you buy new hardware, install it, migrate the data, and probably suffer an outage one day. With a VDS, the same job takes a few clicks in the panel: you upgrade the plan, your data stays where it is, and you only pay the difference.
Of course, a VDS is not the answer to every scenario. If you need to keep the hardware physically in your hands, install a special card or run software whose license is tied to the hardware, a physical server or colocation is the better choice. But if your job is running a website, database, application or game server, renting a VDS is usually both cheaper and less trouble.

No Hardware InvestmentGenerators, air conditioning, static IPs and spare parts are our job.

Seamless GrowthNo data migration and no downtime when upgrading a plan.
10 Gbit/s Line and DDoS Protection
The speed of a server is not determined by its hardware alone. How it connects to the outside world matters just as much. Our VDS servers go out through a 10 Gbit/s uplink. This line is shared between servers, but its capacity is so wide that you are unlikely to come close to its ceiling in normal use; where a narrow line gets congested, you keep working comfortably.
The Türkiye location is a separate advantage here. When packets travel to and from a server abroad, a delay arises due to physics, and you cannot fix it with software. For a user connecting to a server in Istanbul the distance is short, so the ping is low. If you run a game server or your users are mostly in Türkiye, you will feel the difference.
Then there is the side nobody likes to talk about: attacks. DDoS is no longer the exception, it is routine. Game servers in particular are targeted regularly. That is why we provide a DDoS-protected VDS: incoming traffic is filtered at Layers 3, 4 and 7 by StormWall and our own firewall systems. The attack stops before it reaches your server; you do not need to do anything or pay anything extra.
One last point: every VDS server is given its own Dedicated IP address. This may sound like a technical detail, but for tasks like sending email it directly affects your wallet. The IP reputation is yours; you do not inherit someone else's spam history as you would in shared environments.
